记得五年级的时候，我妒忌我的一个好朋友，她叫骆琳琳，而原因只单单是她学习比我好。中午回到家中，我趴在床上哭了起来。当时，我的心被一群邪恶笼罩着，我想：我一定要把她踩在脚底下。这时，母亲也回来了，见我这般伤心，就问清楚了原因，用她那温柔的声音对我说：“别哭了，孩子，她在学习方面比你好，可是你也有过人之处啊。这天下之大，比你强的人不是只有她一个，还有很多，你总不能遇到一个就哭一次，最后一蹶不振吧?”我摇头，拭去脸上的泪珠哭哭啼啼道：可我就是不明白，我们都是一样学，为什么我就没有她好呢?”母亲笑了，笑我的天真：“有些东西是学不会的。例如别人的`性格，习惯，还有心理素质等等，都是学不会的。”母亲还让我在网上看了一下很多优秀的人是怎样面对比自己强的人的事例。那时，我真正明白了。知道自己不该嫉贤妒能，应该取人之长，补己之短，才能更上一层楼。
我想：母亲应该很失望吧。自己的女儿不努力去争取，却在暗地里妒忌别人……不管怎样，我想通了人外有人，天外有天只要自己努力过了，什么样的结果都无所谓，也无需去嫉妒别人。
母亲，谢谢您!您是我在黑暗中的一盏明灯;是我走向歧路时真诚的告诫;是我迷失方向时的指南针。
