what’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. read more books and travel around. for one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden your horizon.

But one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the negro is still not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languishing in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. so we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition.

In a sense we have come to our nations capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check which has come back marked “insufficient funds.” but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation.

So we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of gods children. now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the negro. this sweltering summer of the negros legitimate discontent will not pauntil there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning.

Those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to busineas usual. there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

But there is something that i must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. in the proceof gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterneand hatred.

we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

We cannot walk alone.and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. we cannot turn back. there are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, “when will you be satisfied?” we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. we cannot be satisfied as long as the negros basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. we can never be satisfied as long as a negro in mississippi cannot vote and a negro in new york believes he has nothing for which to vote. no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousnelike a mighty stream.

能够凭着自己的努力从激烈的竞争中脱颖而出，我们很是骄傲，能够在杭州师范这样的高等学府继续深造，我们很是荣幸。世纪风雨沧桑，百年磨砺奋进，杭州师范大学在校领导和广大师生的共同努力下，杭州师范大学既将迎来建校100周年华诞。1来，她送走了一批又一批的学子，为祖国培养了数以万计的师范人才，在各自的岗位上成为国家的栋梁。迈向20xx年，师范大学正发生着巨大的变化：校园越来越美丽，100年的文化积淀喷薄出新的生命，校园里随处焕发着青春的气息……

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们：

大家早上好！

伴随着教师节的临近，我谨代表全体同学向老师说一声：老师，您辛苦了！并祝老师们工作顺利，身体健康。下面我演讲的题目是《给梦想插上翅膀》。

时光飞逝，如白驹过隙，转眼间，我们已告别了酷暑，迎来了新的学期，我们每一个人都将怀揣着梦想开始新的征程。

天将降大任于斯人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤。的确，每段梦想的完成都必经历一段艰难的磨练。梅花香自苦寒来，正是因为经历了一番苦难与挫折，我们在成功之后才会有拨开云雾见阳光的喜悦。

作为宝中的学子，我们更是能够切身的感受到生活在宝中的压力，在这个人才济济的学校，就如同逆水行舟，不进则退，在这里，你努力不一定有结果；但你不努力，就永远只可以抬头羡慕别人。学习是件辛苦的事情，但是身为学生，我们的主要任务就是刻苦学习，努力实现自己的梦想，我们应该始终坚信，没有不能战胜的困难，没有不能实现的梦想。

梦想，是一朵娇艳的花，需要你细心栽种，小心呵护。

梦想，似乎深不可测，但却近在咫尺。我们现在所想做的，就是超越自我，去追逐心中的梦想。初生牛犊不怕虎。我们正当年轻，没有挫折的失意，世界的一切对我们来讲都是充满机遇的，我们不甘平凡，就必定会发出不同凡想的声音，走出别人没有走过的路，超越自我，激情迸发。我们没有经验与教训，但是我们并不缺乏青春的冲动与热血激情。

海阔凭鱼跃，天高任鸟飞。每个人都怀揣着一个属于自己的梦想。然而，什么是梦?什么又是梦想?梦是期待，而梦想是坚强。是你把飘渺的梦坚持作为自己理想的勇气和执著，是你对自己负责的最高境界。但扪心自问，我们有多少人能够成就自己心中最初的梦想?

为了提升学生的综合素质、丰富学生的校园生活、宣扬青春正能量以及促进学生对美好人生的规划，6月13日，梅塘镇安仁初级中学成功举行了以“心中的梦想”为主题的七八年级学生演讲赛。该校领导班子、语文组老师、七八年级班主任和学生近300人观摩了比赛。

比赛在该校文学楼四楼会议厅举行，当天下午3时30分，主持人赖先德老师热情饱满地介绍完相关事项后，比赛正式开始。温文尔雅的七年一班选手陈婉宁同学，在大家的掌声中沉稳地走上了前台，第一个向大家缓缓倾诉了她心中那当播音员的梦想；张林旭同学激情热血地介绍了他爱国奉献的梦想；八年三班的陈伟青同学以《心怀梦想，才能奔赴远方》为题，活泼自然地讲述着她的教师梦；“梦想它不分高低贵贱，华丽平凡，但你不能因为没有掌声就放弃了你的梦想”，陈俊翰同学激情满怀地告诉大家，不放弃梦想就能《遇见更好的自己》……最终，13位同学都成功地将他们原创稿件中的梦想演讲给了大家，他们的梦想在这里启航，他们的人生变得有方向，他们或气质出众、或讲述得生动、或真情投入、或思想有深度，现场师生都忍不住为他们的出色讲演热烈鼓掌。

随后，在分数统计之时，主持人邀请评委张妙兰主任即兴点评。张主任满怀感动与激情地点评道，选手们的表现相当优秀，安中学子只要有平台就能创造出无限精彩！她又为部分选手细致准确地做了点评，指出婉宁同学内心丰富、林旭同学的稿立意高远、嘉莹同学的稿思想深刻，等等。然后，给全体同学建议，演讲要注意与观众互动、要注重演讲稿写作的质量、要尽量使用口语化语言方便背稿、要将表情与肢体语言完美地与内容结合；又建议同学们在人生道路上，珍惜每一次经历与拥有的每一个平台，要注重对失败的体验，看开挫折，凡事尽力而为，懂得享受过程，这样才能让自己更出彩。黄海民校长在被邀请发言中谈到，随着时间的推移和生活的变换，我们会迷失了自己的梦想，没有了梦想，我们的心和生活都将变得空荡。因此，他建议全体同学应重拾当初的梦想，要“不忘初心，牢记使命”，要为祖国的崛起努力奋斗！现场学子大受鼓舞，热烈的掌声似乎表达着对梦想的设定与坚定地追求。

接着，比赛结果出炉。陈嘉莹、陈晓妍两位同学获得一等奖；陈伟青、张林旭同学咬紧比分荣获二等奖，其他选手获得三等奖及优秀奖，该校负责人为选手们颁奖，以资鼓励。最后，比赛在主持人声情并茂的宣告中结束。

据悉，此次演讲赛是本学期来该校语文组组织的第二项比赛活动，此前进行了第二届“青苗杯”作文赛，而该校本学期来举行的英语词汇比赛、历史知识竞赛、作文赛连同这次的演讲赛，都是该校在教研教改上创新的产物，旨在为学生提供更多展现能力的平台、促进学生积极向上和全面发展，以此打造出“活力安中，魅力校园”和成就学生无悔的青春。
