今天是端午节，又是姥爷的过生日，我和姐姐早早起床，一块认真地制作了一张好看的过生日贺卡，姐姐又把她平常变魔术的用具装进书包。

下午在客厅休息时，姐姐开始变魔术，大家全家都围着看，只见姐姐熟练地把两个硬币放在桌面上，在上面并排放二张扑克牌，接着把外面那枚硬币往外推推，让第二张扑克牌盖住这个硬币，再往里推一下，慢慢地吹一口气，翻开扑克牌，只见第一张牌下的硬币也跑到第二张牌下面来了，大大家都感觉奇怪，夸姐姐真行。

端午节是为了纪念春秋战国时期伟大的诗人屈原。当时楚国被秦国打败了，他满怀悲愤跳到了汨罗江自尽。人们怀念他，崇敬他。为了避免鱼虾咬屈原，扔了许多米团到汨罗江，大家以为这样让虾吃饱了就不会咬屈原了。后来，人们怕河水把米团冲掉，就用荷叶把米团包住，再用红线把米团捆好。慢慢地就发展为今天的粽子。每年的端午节，在我们的家乡家家户户都忙着包粽子，可热闹了。粽子用翠绿的粽叶包裹着洁白的.糯米加上用红豆、绿豆和一肥一瘦的腌肉做馅。粽子煮熟后，剥开粽叶，只见米团里仿佛嵌着几颗深红油亮的玛瑙，非常好看，还散发着香气，让人垂涎欲滴。家乡的人们都说吃了这种粽子，日子会过得更加红红火火，身体就会更健康。所以大人小孩都爱吃。

选手们都会穿着色彩鲜艳的服装，精神抖擞地站在船上，聚精会神等待着比赛的开始。最帅的就是站在最前面的鼓手，他扎着红色的头巾，强壮的身体，威武的站在船头。“砰”只听见一声枪响，比赛开始了，数十条龙舟像离弦的箭一样划向终点，选手们拼命地往前划，河两岸上的啦啦队也是拼了命似的为自己的队员鼓劲，“加油，加油”喊声此起彼伏，震耳欲聋，霎时间，锣鼓喧天，人声鼎沸。
