请以约30个词概括上文的内容;
(1)谈谈梦想的重要性;
(2)谈谈你是如何坚持你的梦想的;
We grow great by dreams
The question was once asked of a highly successful businessman, “How have you done so much in your lifetime?”
He replied, “I have dreamed. I have turned my mind loose to imagine what I wanted to do. Then I have gone to bed and thought about my dreams. In the night I dreamt about my dreams. And when I awoke in the morning, I saw the way to make my dreams real. While other people were saying, ‘You can’t do that, it is impossible,’ I was well on my way to achieving what I wanted. As Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the US, said, ‘We grow great by dreams.’”
“All big men are dreamers.” They see things in the soft haze of a spring day, or in the red fire on a long winter’s evening.
Some of us let these dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nourish them through bad days until they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
So please, don’t let anyone steal your dreams, or try to tell you they are too impossible. “Sing your songs, and dream your dreams, hope your hope and pray your prayer.”

reality, different students have different learning habits, which I think influence their learning efficiency greatly. Good habits always lead to high efficiency, while bad ones bring the opposite.
Some students are good at concentrating on what the teachers teach in class. They think only in this way can they understand and memorize the teaching materials better. If we find those materials interesting, we'll focus our attention on them for long. However, those dull lessons require our determination, self-controlling ability and confidence.
My classmates always call me “Mr. forgetful”, because I cannot memorize those I have learnt. I know that it is because I don't spend some time in memorizing them after class. My teachers advise me to repeat the materials several times and read them aloud, which they think will help improve my memory.

Hi Sharon,
This is Li Xia. I learned from your post that you want to improve your Mandarin. I feel honored to have the chance to help you with your Mandarin learning and I am very happy to have you as my English teacher. I'm good at speaking standard Mandarin. I've been a broadcaster in the school’s broadcasting station for years. When it comes to how to speak fluent Mandarin, I suggest that you learn a bunch of pronunciation rules first, which are quite different from the English ones. Another suggestion is to practice speaking. As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect”. However, my English is just OK and I have many problems with my study. I really hope that you can give me good advice on how to study English well. I believe we both can make much progress with each others’ help.
Thank you!

I was about 13 when an uncle gave me a copy of Jostein Gaarder's Sophie's World. It was full of ideas that were new to me, so I spent the summer with my head in and out of that book. It spoke to me and brought me into a world of philosophy(哲学).
That love for philosophy lasted until I got to college. Nothing kills the love for philsosphy faster than people who think they understand Foucault, Baudrillard, or Confucius better than you - and then try to explain them.
Eric weiner's The Socrates Express: In Search of Life Lessons from Dead Philosophers reawakened my love for philssophy. It is not an explanation, but an invitation to think and experience philosophy.
Weiner stara each chapter with a scene on a train ride between cities and then frames each philosopher's work in the centext(背景)of one thing they can help us do better. The end result is a read in which we learn to wonder like Socrates, see like Thoreau, listen like Schopenhauer, and have no re-grets like Nietzsche. This, more than a book about undestanding philosophy ,is a book abour learning to use philosophy to improve a life.
He makes philosopical thought an appealing exercise that improves the quality of our experiences, and he does so with plenty of humor. Weiner enters into conversation with some of the most important philosophers in history, and he becomes part of that crowd in the process by decoding(解读)their mssages and adding his own interpretation.
The Socrates Express is a fun, sharp book that draws readers in with its apparent simplicity and grad-ually pulls them in deeper thoughts on desire, loneliness, and aging. The invitation is clear: Weiner wants you to pick up a coffee or tea and sit down with this book. I encourage you to take his offer. It's worth your time, even if time is something we don't have a lot of.
28.Who opened the door to philosophy for the author?
A.Foucault.
B.Eric Weiner.
C.Jostein Gaarder.
D.A college teacher.
29.Why does the author list great philosophers in paragraph 4?
A.To compare Weiner with them.
B.To give examples of great works.
C.To praise their writing skills.
D.To help readers understand Weiners book.
30.What does the author like about The Socrates Express?
A.Its views on history are well-presented.
B.Its ideas can be applied to daily life.
C.It includes comments from readers.
D.It leaves an open ending.
31.What does the author think of Weiners book?
A.Objective and plain.
B.Daring and ambitious.
C.Serious and hard to follow.
D.Humorous and straightforward.

Grizaly bears, which may grow to about 2.5m long and weigh over 400kg, occupy a conflicted cor-ner of the American psyche-we rever(敬畏) them even as they give us frightening dreams. Ask the tour-ists from around the world that flood into Yellowstone National Park what they most hope to see, and their answer is often the same: a grizzly bear.
”Grizzly bears are re-occupying large areas of their former range,“ says bear biologist Chris Servheen. As grizzly bears expand their range into places where they haven't been seen in a century or more, they're incresingly being sighted by humans.
The western half of the U.S. was full of grizzlies when Eurpeans came, with a rough number of 50,000 or more living alongside Native Americans. By the early 1970s, after centuries of cruel and continu-ous hunting by settlers, 600 to 800 grizzlies remained on a mere 2 percent of their former range in the Northern Rockies. In 1975, grizzlies were listed under the Endangered Species Act.
Today, there are about 2,000 or more grizzly bears in the U.S. Their recovery has been so suecess-ful that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has twice attempted to de-list grizzlies, which would loosen legal protections and allow them to be hunted. Both efforts were overturned due to lawsuits from conserva-tion groups. For now, grizzlies remain listed.
Obviously,if precautions(预防)aren't taken, grizzlies can become troublesome, sometimes killing farm animals or walking through yards in search of food. If people remove food and attractants from their yards and campsites, grizzlies will typically pass by without trouble. Putting electric fencing around chicken houses and other farm animal quarters is also highly effective at getting grizzlies away.”Our hope is to have a clean, attractant-free place where bears ean pass through without learning bad habits,“ says James Jonkel, longtime biologist who manages bears in and around Missoula.
32.How do Americans look at grizlies?
A.They cause mixed feelings in people.
B.They should be kept in national parks.
C.They are of high scientific value.
D.They are a symbol of American culture.
33.What has helped the increase of the grizzly population?
A.The European settlers' behavior.
B.The expansion of bears' range.
C.The protection by law since 1975.
D.The support of Native Americans.
34.What has stopped the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service from de-listing grizzlies?
A.The opposition of conservation groups.
B.The successful comeback of grizzlies.
C.The voice of the biologists.
D.The local farmers'advocates.
35.What can be ierere from the last paragraph?
A.Food should be provided for grizzlies.
B.People can live in harmony with grizzlies.
C.A special path should be built for grizzlies.
D.Technology can be itroduced to protect grizzlies.

1:Reading Books Selectively or Extensively?
When the children get six years old, they need to go to school and finish the compulsive education. It has been admitted that reading more books brings people more knowledge and broadens their vision. But some people believe that reading books selectively is the right way. Both ways have their advantages.
Reading books selectively helps people get the details of the books. Reading a book needs a lot of time, let alone to study the book, if people choose the book to read, they can have more time to study the details, so they can enjoy the books and know more about the authors’ purpose of writing these books.
Reading books extensively can make people know more about the books. People can have the main idea of the books, knowing what the authors have written. The more people read, the more knowledge they can gain. In Chinese old saying, if you read all the books, you will not be afraid of travel around the world.
For me, I think people at first should read as more books as possible, when they start to choose the major, then they should read selectively, so they can have more time to study a book.
2:Is Dating Show Reliable?
In Chinese traditional blind date, the boy and the girl meet each other which is arranged by their parents, then the two fall in love, get married and live happily ever after. Today, the young people like to choose their partners by themselves, there are many dating shows to provide chances for the young people to make friends. But I don’t think the shows are reliable.
First, as a show, the first concerned factor is the profit. To make a show, the producer puts the audience in the first place, the more audiences, the more advertisements, the more profit. Thus the director must do something to make the show interesting, then the purpose of dating the young people is not pure, it is more likely to amuse the audiences.
Second, the relationship that was built on the stage won’t last long. When the young people meet in the stage, they get to know each other in a short time, they can’t get fully information about each other. Even they build their relationship on the stage, what will happen in the stage? They will find more defects, realizing they are not matched.
Dating show is very popular in China, but we must not take it serious, treating them the way to find amusement in casual life.
3:Be Wise to the Celebrities’ Privacy
In the summer, the hottest reality show must be Where Are You Going, Daddy? The show brings the public how the male celebrities get along with their children in the outdoor. People can peer at the famous people’s life, the show satisfies their curiosity. But some crazy fans over search the celebrities’ privacy, making their children in danger.

1:English Novels and Movies
We have seen some famous movies, such as Harry Potter and Twight, both are hot sell novels. When we see the novels have been put into the screen, it is naturally that we will compare the original one and the adapted one, the latter is always being critical, I prefer to see the novels.
The English novels are excellent, the first novel I saw was Twight, it is about a vampire named Edward and a human girl named Bella, they fall in love, but the different identities makes them hard to be together. When I read the story, I was so impressed, Bella’s inner voice is so strong that I imagine myself is her. While when I saw the movie, the plot happens so fast, Bella’s love is still strong, but for the audience, it is hard for them to understand. The long story is shorten, we have to finish the story in one and a half hour. The quick watch makes the audience hard to perceive the character’s inner world, so the strong feeling is weaker.
So for me, I like to read novels, I can perceive the character’s emotion and be immerged in the novel world.
2:The Advantages of Electronic Dictionaries
In the past decades, the development of new technology promotes the increasing need of students and other customers, electronic dictionaries are becoming more and more popular. Despite these electronic dictionaries may have some minor disadvantages, comparing to their advantages, people are willing to use them.
On the one hand, electronic dictionaries are extremely portable and light-weight, they can contain numerous words and messages, which may up to one million words, even more. If a paper dictionary contains the same messages, it will be very large and heavy.
On the other hand, electronic dictionaries work very fast. When we want to check the words, we can type the words, and then the words will be found in no more than three seconds, how convenient it is! Just work as the computer does, it also safe us a lot of time. While with a paper dictionary, we have to go over the book, and then find the word amongst hundred words, this takes us a lot of time. Electronic dictionaries make students work efficiently.
Electronic dictionaries also have disadvantages, such as sometimes they give the wrong message, sometimes the message is not overall. But despite the flaws, people like to use electronic dictionaries, in the future, they are the students’ first choice.
3:Global Use of Chinese
Walking on the street, we may meet a foreigner talking with friends in fluent Chinese. We are surprise to find that there are so many foreign people speak our country’s language, Chinese is gaining popularity around the world, more and more people speak Chinese. Some argue that this is good for the development of Chinese, while other don’t, I agree with the former.
One the one hand, the development of Chinese means our country is becoming stronger. It is the same with English, the reason that we learn English is that we need to keep pace with the world, because the developed countries mainly speak English. The importance of Chinese is on the rise, which means our country is becoming stronger.
On the other hand, with the Chinese speaking population becoming larger and larger, Chinese is endowed with greater vitality, which is very important for the development of a language. Language is changing all the time, so the language should keep pace with the time, now Chinese has been developed all over the world, it is good for the survival of the Chinese.
In a word, the development of Chinese is a good phenomenon, it is a symbol of our country’s strong.
