这是窦靖童进军乐坛后首次为电影献声，这首歌延续了窦靖童干净磁性的嗓音，利用缥缈灵动的曲风，淋漓刻画“安生”和“七月”两个女生的成长和友谊。谈起主题曲的创作，窦靖童表示灵感和动力源于电影本身，影片中两个女生的大胆青春和姐妹情深让她十分感动。

影片监制陈可辛则连赞窦靖童创作的《七月与安生》主题歌是惊喜，“这首歌让我看到了不一样的童童。她对影片理解和诠释的程度超过了我的预期”。

《七月与安生》剧情简介:

“13岁” , 奏响了青春序曲的第一个音符。七月与安生从踏入中学校门的一刻起，便宿命般地成为了朋友。她们一个恬静如水，一个张扬似火，性格截然不同、却又互相吸引。她们以为会永远陪伴在彼此的生命里，然而青春的阵痛带来的不是别的，而是对同一个男生的爱——18岁那年，她们遇见了苏家明，至此，成长的大幕轰然打开。
