有的商标可以利用其音和意的双重特征，翻译时再创性地使用音译和直译相结合。例如Goldlion没有译成“金狮”，而是译为“金利来”，这样既保留了“金”的富贵含义，又用音译“利来”满足了人们向往吉利的心理，而且译文比“金狮”听起来更加新颖，更具异国风情。再如，Truly牌商标译为“信利”，既用“信”字体现了原文的“以信为本”的理念，又保留了后半部分的`发音，同时“利”字本身也蕴涵了带来利润的意思。
4.意译法
意译就是不拘泥于原文的形式，把其内涵意义用再创性的译语表达出来。当遇到不适合音译和直译的商标时可以尝试意译法。例如：Rejoice原意为“快乐”，而直译和音译都难以把商品本身的特性反映出来，因此采用了意译，把它翻译成“飘柔”，不求形似而求神似—这个中文商标暗示了该洗发产品的特质和功能，并且实现了发质的“飘柔”，人们自然会从“头”快乐起来。
5.创造新词
商标翻译时也可以创新性地在原商标基础上进行合理的杜撰，这样译语商标立意新颖，而且与其它商标名称的重复几率大大降低。例如，把“美加净”牙膏“译”成MAXAM就独具匠心。该英文商标有如下优点：保留了中文“美”的发音；使人联想到maximum一词，象征着该商品在同类品牌中已做到了极致；英文设计得简洁对称，从前从后读起来音韵效果相同，构思巧妙。
四、商标翻译中的敏感区—文化
商标翻译本身也是一种跨文化交际活动。任何商标译者都应熟悉目的语国家的文化，避免因文化冲突对企业造成不良影响。通过实践，我们可以发现不同国家的在性别、年龄、词语本身的文化联想等方面的差异很多，尤其应当引起我们的注意。例如Nippon是日本著名的墙面漆的商标，但其译名并未直译成“日本”，而是用谐音译成“立邦”，这是充分考虑到中国人的民族情感，特别是考虑到熟悉日本侵略中国的屈辱历史的大部分中国人的爱国情节，译为中性的商标名称，避免涉及政治因素，从而保障了该企业的在中国的顺利经营。
五、总结
对于企业来说，质量是生命，商标是效益。商标翻译是一个吸收、改造和创新的过程，译者应凭借自己语言文化知识的丰富储备和及时更新赋予原语商标第二次生命，使其在译语文化中生机盎然。
