In order to make more contributions to the society and, at the same time, satisfy my keen interest in science, I am looking forward to beginning my graduate study. I heard of Case Western Reserve University as early as when I was an undergraduate student. She is one of the most highly regarded universities in the world and is an ideal place for ambitious youth.
I plan to study for Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University with special interests in metabolism, macromolecular synthesis, and protein crystal growth. I have had plentiful preparations. First, when being an undergraduate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University, I got very extensive and intensive education. I took many courses on chemistry and the related subjects, and earned high scores for most of them. Second, my major, Polymer, can be put into good use in Biochemistry programs because Polymer is closely related with biological Macromolecule. Third, I have working experience that enriches my theory and laboratory skills.
From 1990 to now, I have been engaged as an Assistant Engineer by the Research institute, Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Corporation (RIBYPC). In the first year, I was in charge of a 5-litre reactor for polymerization of Carboxylated Butadiene-Styene Latex. Then I was transferred to another research group to synthesize PET/PHB copolymer, a kin of polyester, which has the property of Liquid Crystal. I am the assistant head of the group. We can prepare the novel polymer with high molecule weight and excellent property in a 2-litre stainless steel reactor. During this monomers, with purity of more than 99.99%; this made my leader very satisfied.
More than four years of working experiences expand my capacity. I often make use of NMR, X-ray, DSC and other instrumental methods for research. Among them, I am most skilled in NMR reactors, I have experiences on solving problems of Engineering and Mechanics. What is more, I am familiar with computer operation and some application software. 美国留学需要了解的常识
1、办理社会安全卡
社会安全卡(social security card)在美国留学期间是非常重要的。留学生落地美国，带着行李进入学校后，首要事情就是申请社会安全卡，它能够开通电话服务和银行账户、信办理用卡、学校奖学金拨给都需要使用到它，根据学校的明确规定操作即可完成申请。
2、开通电话服务

美国留学体检指南
一、体检材料
参加体检是需要提前进行预约的，在线上就可以进行，成功之后可以会直接将个人信息表打印出来，确认自己的身份资料，然后还要准备好自己的身份证明(护照或者身份证)。
还需要备好证件照(4.8×3.3cm)，以及学校提供的需要接受检查的项目表格，如果大家有接种过疫苗还需要带上记录原件，这样就不需要重复进行接种。
二、体检流程
在体检的前一天，需要大家保证比较清淡的饮食，不然可能会影响检查的结果;检查当天记得吃早饭，衣服尽量选择上装下装分开，不要戴首饰，并且按时前往医院。
体检一般会安排治安8：00-11：20，整个流程需要花费一个小时左右的时间，大家要按照指引完成每一项的检查，这样才不会有遗漏，能够正常的完成流程，顺利的获取结果。
三、体检项目
X光是需要首先进行的，对大家的全身进行健康检查，包括内脏骨骼等;然后要接受B超的检查，速度会很快，只需要在仪器前露出自己的独自就可以直接获取结果，心电图也会同步进行检测。
抽血早一点进行，这样对结果的影响会比较小;全科的检查包括体重身高视力五官科等一起进行;最后就是接受尿检，在此之前可以多喝一点水保证顺利。
四、疫苗接种
需要学生接种的疫苗，会直接在官方的网站和学校发放的表格中标示出来，大家如果有接种过里面的相关项目，只需要出示接种的官方证明就可以了，这样可以少挨几针。
而没有接种过的疫苗，则需要去接种室确认自己需要接种的项目，一般最多两针，大概需要花10-20分钟，接种完之后需要观察半小时之后才可以离开。

The research project focused on applying a resistance furnace to sinter the super conductor and measure it heat and resistance. In this work Mr. Zhu showed great patience and strictness required of a good laboratory experimenter. Particularly he showed very good creative thinking in the process. For example, to overcome inaccurate artificial recording, he proposed to measure the temperature and resistance by computer-control circuits instead of artificial work. Later, on the basis of analyzing the various experiment conditions, he successfully settled the problems in the design of circuits and procedures, greatly improving the measuring accuracy in the experiment. This showed that Mr. Zhu was already qualified for independent scientific research work. Another indication of Mr. Zhu‘s creativity is the project on new airplane energy in which he participated. This project was the only one in our department and one of the few in the entire Peking University that were qualified for final exhibit at the “Challenge Cup-Looking Ahead into the New Millennium” Creativity Contest for all-Beijing universities students.
Besides, I find in Mr. Zhu a rare independent personality and maturity. For example, he was admitted into the Computer Department of our university as a student holding two Bachelor‘s Degrees (one of which being Bachelor‘s Degree in E-Business) as he excelled both in physics and computer science. But eventually he gave up what other students would think a golden opportunity for a well-ensured high paid job. He calmly told me the reason: He prefers physics to computer studies.
