this term our school laid down a new rule about selective court. for the first two weeks, we may sit in as many classes as we like before we decide on which courses  to choose. we jumped for joy. the first week i attended classes for four evenings on end and found out that most of the teachers took it serioualy. they were busy in “winning votes” for fear, that later on no one would attend their lectures.

for example, the teacher of modern literature of taiwan said, “actually the flrst two hours of my lecture were only a prelude. the real contents have not been involved. in the furore, we shall discuss such famous writers as qiong yao, xi murong, etc, and such famous aetresses as lin fengjiao, lin qingxia etc. we have lots of vedio-taped films to watch. these are confined only to those who co-major in this court.” see, after all, the last sentence is the core of everything he said.

the teacher of appreciation and critics of modern opera said, “we have a variety of contents and the teaching method is changable. for instance, l may choose one act from a play and let you perform it in class. if you do a good job, you can put on the play at the school theater festival. also, we shall arrange for you to watch current plays. the school is in charge of the traffic and tickets, of course, only those who co-major this course are eligible.” you see, the most important thing comes at last through twists and turns.

而《当代戏剧鉴赏与评论》的老师则说,“我们上课内容是丰富的,教学方法是多样的。比如,我将选个戏剧片段让你们在课堂上表演。如果你们演得好,还可以在学校艺术节上公演。另外,我们还将组织你们看新上演的话剧,票钱和路费都可以由学校报销;当然,这些待遇仅限于修这门课的同学。”你看,最后还是绕到最重要的事情上去了。

。 9点上课,很久很久没有起这么早了。昨晚又是两点多睡的。 早晨赖了好久的床,又睡了一梦,终于在第二个闹钟响的时候把自己拔了起来。 赶紧呼噜呼噜吃了点东西,就冲去学校。  人数不是很多,十来个人吧,请了专门managing negotiation的三位专家来讲课。 主要涉及negotiation的styles,人们在negotiation时的心理因素,以及negotiation所要注意的几个步骤和方面。 同时给了几个games or cases to practise.   Negotiation styles includes win-lose and win-win styles. win-lose: competitive environment, majority of gains go to one party, one-off negotiation, short term gains. win-win: co-operative environment, mutially beneficial agreement, equitable gains, long term benefits.  接下来做了一个(国内经济学称博弈理论)游戏。互相陌生的两人一组,每人手里一张红卡,一张蓝卡。 每次每人出其中一张,共有十轮机会。目的是,尽量获得最高的points. points的获得是: red-red: both -4 points; blue-blue: both 4 points, blue-red: the blue one 8 points,the red one -8 points. 我最开始记错了,以为red-red是大家各加4 points, 结果连出了三次red,对方也都是red,所以还兴高采烈的; 第四回才发现记倒了,赶紧就出了blue。但对方依旧出red,因此我被扣了8 points; 我一看,晕,越扣越严重哪,第五局不敢了,只好出red,谁知道这时对方出了blue,我加了8 points,她扣了8 points; 第六局发现了第五局的失误,赶紧又改会blue,没想到对方也改回red了,这样我又被扣了8 points; 最后四局,咱俩基本上都放弃了,为了保持平衡,大家都是出red,一直都各扣4 points. 所以,我们这一组结果很差,事后想想原因, 我开始还是很能相信别人的,一直愿意大家是一个双赢的`结果; 但是在第四次发现相信却被扣了更多的分,又犹豫了;中间三局一直在与自己斗争中; 最后四局由于前面的不理想的结果,放弃了信心,不愿意相信了,坚持一个负面的对等的结果。 其实如果在第四、五局,我够多坚持一回多相信对方一次,其实大家完全可以达到一个双赢的局面, 可惜我没能够坚持,被负面结果动摇了。最后也放弃得太早了,没能坚持信念。 说明我的信任很容易被打击到,从而从积极转向消极。 虽然现在社会人与人之间的信任愈加淡薄,但是若能多一分,便多一分希望。 还是那句老话,吃亏是福。(当然,也要看对象.)  第二个project是关于买卖的negotiation。还是两人一组。 我的最高预算只有55镑;好说歹说,对方死活守着75镑不肯降价,既不愿降低成本,也不愿降低利润。 最后交易失败。而其他几组都在45-55镑间达成协议。 我这次的方式还是有误。本来想以主动地施加压力的方式使得对方降价, 不过由于表现得过于积极,对方在不知我的底线的情况下,就死活不接受任何条件。  第三个也是关于买卖的negotiation,不过双方是作为当事人的solicitors的身份。 这回吸取了上次的教训,自己少说,多引导对方提出条件,轻描淡写地给对方增加竞争对手。 居然在咱们的concessions都没怎么提出的条件下,就以我们的bottom line的三倍的价格达成协议。  其实也不止课上,中间有两次coffee time,一次lunch time.(free food service) 空闲中与不同专业不同层次的人交谈,也是件有趣的事。 (中国人的确还是喜欢扎堆,这回也是,大多的free time都是自己坐一堆自己聊天。) 我要做个open mind的Phd,不能只管闭门造车。得多多增进与人的交流。  明天继续上课。

many young people go to universities without a clear idea of what they are going to do. if one considers the various courses offered, it is not hard to see how difficult it is for a student to select the course most suited to him. if a student goes to a university to acquire a broader perspective of life, he will undoubtedly benefit. schools often have too restrictive an atmosphere. most students would, i believe, profit by the exploration of different academic studles, especially the \"all rounders'with no particular interest.they should have a longer time to decide in what subject they

want to take their degrees, so that in later life, they do not look back and regret.

there is, of course, another side to the question of how to make the best use of one's time at university. some students,who are good at a particular branch of learning, may spend three or four years becoming a specialist, appearing with a first-class honors degree but very little knowledge of what the rest of the world is all about. therefore there will have to be much more detailed information in all fields. on the one hand, a band of specialists ignorant of anything outside their own subject, and on the other hand, an ever-increasing number of graduates qualified in subjects for which there is little or no demand in the working world.

我们的选修课就是为了混学分,去了之后也就是消磨时间。

当时候准备选择的时候就没有什么好的了,我觉得自己去选择的时间比较早,可是没有想到有更多的人比我还要早,系统开始的时间是在晚上十二点,这个时候我还在睡觉中,有人就在自己的宿舍里开始了选择,去得早有很大的好处,可以任意选择自己喜欢的学科,而且这个时候一般来说没有什么人,因为我们宿舍在这个时候已经断电了,而且根本没有电脑,我们在睡觉的时候就已经迟了!

第二天早上起来的时候我知道这件事情了,就立即与舍友们一起去电子阅览室,可是这个时候这个地方的人实在是很多,我们根本没有什么位置,因此不得不去一趟微机室,这里的人一般来说不是很多,可是由于当时候的人太多了,这就会使得选择的时候网络卡,根本就不可以上网登录,那个时候就是大骂的时候,开始的时候就没有什么了,我们不得不随便选一个,也就是为了混日子,一年到头过了就可以了!

张海迪说过:“一个热爱音乐的人一定是一个热爱生活的人。”我深以为然。

从小,我就喜欢唱歌。几乎于音乐一切有关的东西,我都喜欢。我现在回忆起我童年时记忆最深的歌曲,不是什么《丢手绢》《两只老虎》之类,而应该是哥哥们教唱的《小背篓》。可以想见,这首歌在那个年代肯定非常流行。《小背篓》旋律优美,朗朗上口;歌词也清新活泼,也容易被同样是山里孩子的我所理解。尽管高音部分可能唱不上去,但被天真烂漫的儿童唱来,想来别有一番情趣。以至我觉得自己长大后偏爱民歌、老歌的欣赏倾向与童年的启蒙是不无关系的。

这学期,我上了刘老师的音乐选修课。一开始,老师详细、系统地给我们讲解一些理论方面的音乐基础与简谱知识。我当然非常有兴趣的来学习怎样识简谱。因为我向来只会唱最简单的简谱,或者先会唱歌再会识谱。通过学习我知道,和语言一样,不同民族都有过自己创立并传承下来的记录音乐的方式---记谱法。各民族的记谱方式各有千秋,但是目前被更广泛使用的是五线谱和简谱(据说简谱是由法国思想家卢梭于1742年发明的)。有一点很有趣,即简谱虽然不是出现在中国,但是好象只有在中国得到非常广泛的传播。老师先告诉一些入门知识,如音高、音质、音符、节奏、休止符等。同时,辅以钢琴伴奏,从简单常见的儿童歌曲的简谱入手。

另外,刘老师设立的“中外名曲欣赏”这一环节是我最喜欢的。老师给我们介绍了古琴、古筝、琵琶、二胡、巴乌等多种乐器的来源、演奏特点以及各自的经度代表曲目。在著名的二胡曲《二泉映月》的乐声中,我仿佛看到了街头一位饱尝人间辛酸和痛苦的盲艺人,以一种抒情式的音乐语言,向我们描绘了月映山泉的景色和艺人那饱含沧桑、无限深邃的感情。古筝曲《高山流水》让我不得不联想到“伯牙鼓琴觅知音”的故事,古诗词里也有“欲取鸣琴弹,恨无知音少”,“知音少,弦断有谁听”之句,难怪有人感慨:人生得一知己足矣,斯世当以同怀视之,我想这对于我们肯定是有启示的。我们还欣赏了琵琶《阳春白雪》、葫芦丝《竹林深处》、唢呐《百鸟朝凤》等,领略了各具特色的民族乐器的最著名最经典的乐曲。特别一提的是,广东乐曲《步步高》欢快活泼,昂扬向上,叠起叠落,一张一弛,让人格外精神爽朗。

我们在课堂上还观看了歌剧《猫》,音乐电影《洪湖水浪打浪》。说实话,对《猫》我并不是很喜欢,但《猫》里面的那首主题曲〈〈Memory〉〉特别让我感动,很有感染力,真的很棒。我想,同文学作品一样,往往那些有故事的、悲剧性的、失意时的情感更加震撼人心,尽管人们在现实世界里强调成功、看重名利,但不可否认,其实谁不渴望被人关爱、谁不喜欢被人肯定呢,谁没有一个自己向往的世界呢?而现实与理想总是隔有许多路,因此,,正因为这路上布满荆棘、充满泥泞,人们更容易被那些敢于坚持、追求梦想的人所感动。

总的来说,音乐课带给了我不少美好的感受。我觉得音乐也是一种语言,当然就像说话写字一样,带有感情与思想的语言,才是最动听的语言。我仍然相信,热爱音乐的人,一定是热爱生活、并能感受生活的人。

后记:实在没时间写自己的文章,所以就贴了一篇“论文” 。呵呵,大家不要全信。要给老师看啊,不完全客观,当然尽量写好的一面啦。其实这个课是有点枯燥的,尽管我很喜欢音乐。
